Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College was established in the year 2003 and is considered one of the top Ayurveda colleges in Karnataka and India. It is a private college which is situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college has been affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). It has been recognised by UGC, the Government of Karnataka and Govt. of India, Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi and has been approved by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). By offering the BAMS course and producing proud alumni who contribute to the field of Ayurveda, the college seeks to foster aspiring Ayurvedic practitioners and researchers.

The Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College courses are offered to interested candidates at only the undergraduate level. There is only 1 course offered by the college to interested candidates in the ayurvedic medicine and surgery discipline. The BAMS course at the college is offered in offline, regular mode to the students. The Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College admission to the BAMS course is offered on the basis of the candidate's performance in the NEET UG entrance exam and the last qualifying exam.

The Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College campus is spread over an area of 10.5 acres and it offers students with a variety of amenities, including a gymnasium, boys' and girls' hostels, laboratories, a sports complex, transportation services, banking options, a full-fledged library, a canteen and others. Additionally, there is no distinct placement cell at the college for the students. The students can get placed directly at the Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital & Research Centre after completion of their education.

The Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College courses are only available to interested applicants at the undergraduate level, or BAMS. Ayurvedic medicine and surgery are the areas of specialisation for the programme. For this course, 100 seats in total are made available to applicants. Students can take the BAMS course at AAMC Bangalore in an offline, conventional manner. The AAMC Bangalore programme lasts 4 years, 6 months, plus an additional year of required internship time. Candidates must be eligible for the course at least in part, as determined by the college. The candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects for the AAMC Bangalore course. Additionally, they must have passed the NEET UG entrance exam; admission is provided by the Bangalore-based Karnataka Examination Authority.
